About US
The Alarm Clocks were formed in 1965 in Parma, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. The original three members (Mike Pierce, Bruce Boehm and Bill Schwark) started playing the covers of the day. We did a lot of Kinks, Rolling Stones and Yardbirds. In 1966 we were fortunate to record YEAH and NO REASON TO COMPLAIN. We also went back to the studio and recorded live seven more songs in the manner in which we played when we were in front of an audience. We made only about 200+ copies of our record. We only sold a few when we played.
We played at a number of high schools and quite a few battle of the bands in the greater Cleveland area. We were fortunate to have won a number of the battles that we entered. In the sixties, the Vietnam War was going on and there was a draft at the time. Bruce had to leave the band when we were really beginning to excel and eventually ended up in Vietnam. So in 1967, the Alarm Clocks came to an end? … pause!
In the early 1980’s, our record was found by George Gell and was eventually put on an album called BACK FROM THE GRAVE in 1983. Our songs became very popular. In 2000, NORTON Records released a CD with our two original songs and the seven more we did in the studio. It has grown in popularity.
In 2006, we got back together again and have now played in front of very enthusiastic crowds and have recorded a number of new songs that will be released in the September 2006 timeframe from NORTON records.
The Alarm Clocks are the same group with Mike, Bruce and Bill and have been joined by one of our fans and great guitar player Tom Fallon (the lead guitar player that Mike and Bruce were always looking for)!!
We look forward to seeing you at one of our concerts and hope you will be able to listen to our music – the Alarm Clocks will rock you! Be aware, The Alarm Clocks WILL also wake you up!!!
See you soon ……..
