A Wake-up Call From Fame

(Four decades later, the Alarm Clocks find notoriety)

For a while back in the 1960’s, three Parma Senior High School kids who called themselves the Alarm Clocks were part of rock and roll’s heyday.  They even produced a 45 rpm record on their own “Awake” label – get it?  “Awake” for the Alarm Clocks? – and had a whopping 200 copies made.  Which turned out to be plenty.

Who knew that 40 years later, those 45’s would be selling on eBay for $1400?  Who knew the Alarm Clocks would be cool again?

The record “No Reason to Complain” and “YEAH” became a cult classic.

The group older, wiser and still rocking, played to an enthusiastic sold-out crowd at the Beachland Ballroom on March 3 and March 4, 2006, where hundreds of fans came from all over the country to scream, sing along and beg for autographs.
